Flight Safety Africa offers Helicopter Landing Site (HLO) manuals specifically tailored to clients requirements. The HLO manuals provide guidelines for the safe conduct of helicopter operations and associated activities at offshore or onshore helicopter landing sites.

The requirements are based on the International Civil Aviation Organisation ICAO ANNEX 14 VOLII "Heliports", UKCAP 437, OPITO Approved Standard and the Operator’s Safety Case. Please contact us for further information.

The HERTM Refresher course is only available for crew members who have a valid HERTM certificate. If this course is completed before the certificate expires, they will be re-certified for another 24 months.

Flight Safety AFrica is able to offer our clients numerous certified courses. In keeping with the IOGP Report 690 (published October 2020) requirements, these courses follow the OPITO Standards and are therefore accepted as an equivalent to the OPITO Standards. These courses include:

Helideck Operations Initial Training (HOIT). This course is a pre-requisite for all HDA and HLO certification. This 2-day training course is available as classroom training or ONLINE.

The cost of the classroom HOIT training is USD 1,100 pp. The cost of the online HOIT training is USD 900 pp.

Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) training: 3 days - USD 1,350 pp

HERTM now available online: USD 900pp

Helideck Emergency Response Team Member (HERTM) Refresher training: 2 days - USD 900 pp.

Helideck Emergency Response Team Leader (HERTL): 3 days - USD 1,350 pp

More specifically, the organisation operates as a partnership between the public and private sectors, receiving public funding to carry out a range of industry development activities and working to promote the interests of members.
